Exhaust with valve + central pipes Capristo Mercedes AMG Class E400 A / C238 2016 - 2018

This exhaust system is suitable for E400 chassis C238 (Coupe) and A238 2016+ (Cabriolet/Convertible)*

Currently NOT applicable to cars with OEM OPF ( Otto particulate filters)

The iconic CAPRISTO valve exhaust system offers the best of both worlds thanks to its ability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration and a sound more subdued for city driving.

This feature is possible using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on driving conditions and input of the driver. At lower engine speeds and during cruise operation the valves are closed and produce a deeper exhaust note. With the throttle fully open, the valves open releasing the full symphony of the engine.

The exhaust valves are controlled by back pressure and user programmable via the control module CES-3 control included. The programmable control unit provides 3 modes operated via a remote control:

Cruise exhaust valves open at higher rpm

Sport exhaust valves open at lower engine speeds and hard acceleration

Open exhaust valves stay open

CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, engineering CAD, digital prototyping and CNC bending/milling in our factory in Germany. Each system is made of high quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sonic resonance, low weight and durability properties which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
