The Control Kit Programmable onboard drain remote was designed by CAPRISTO to work with CAPRISTO drain valves, which open and close drain valves on drain systems equipped with pressure taps. (Please note that this is a replacement unit in the event that your CAPRISTO remote control becomes faulty.)

The reason for checking exhaust back pressure is to achieve improve the engine's torque band and maintain driving ability in a wide range of conditions.

Today's high-performance engines prefer a free-flowing exhaust with large openings of the accelerator and high revs. With smaller throttle openings and low rpms found in traffic, a slight increase in exhaust backpressure results in better low-rpm torque and an easier-to-use engine. This pressure is controlled by one or more butterfly valves in the exhaust system.

With this programmable valve control unit the opening and closing points of the exhaust valves can be set according to your preferences. The exhaust control unit constantly monitors the back pressure in the exhaust system while driving. During acceleration the back pressure increases and at a preset pressure the controller opens the exhaust flaps. This releases back pressure and increases exhaust gas flow and power.

Three control modes are available.

The first is a cruise mode in which the valves open later and at higher exhaust pressure levels. This allows for a quieter and more comfortable ride.

The second is a sport mode that allows faster opening of the valves for a more aggressive driving style.

The third mode allows the valves in the open position. This is geared towards track use where higher rpm and constant application of full throttle require a free flow of exhaust gases.

The opening and closing points for the first two modes are user programmable within certain safety limits.

The key fob that comes with the kit is a sleek unit with two extra buttons that can be used on other devices capable to receive signals (444 MHz).

An integrated self-learning function allows you to program multiple remote controls if necessary. An additional safety feature is a safety condition that allows the exhaust valves to go into the open position in the event of an electrical failure or vacuum. This prevents damage to the engine and/or cylinder head due to excessive heat build-up.

The supplied harness already has connectors for the solenoid valve and controller.< /p>

The power and ground wires are the only wires that need to be terminated for your specific application.

This ensures a simple, hassle-free installation.
