Exhaust Akrapovic Slip-On BMW X5 X5 M 01-20

With a distinctive sound while shifting, coupled with improved power and torque, all encapsulated in a full titanium system, the Akrapovic Slip-On offers an exhilarating experience while still satisfying ECE homologation. Constructed from high-grade lightweight titanium alloys and finished with two sets of titanium or carbon fiber mufflers, the system features intricate parts cast at the in-house titanium foundry, including valve housings and headers. Two valves, one on each side of the muffler, regulate the flow of gas to help produce the unmistakable Akrapovic sound, which is distinctly different from that of the BMW X5M fitted with a stock exhaust. The tone is more evident when downshifting and accelerating, and can be further enhanced and controlled through the addition of the optional Akrapovic Sound Kit to provide greater aural pleasure. Akrapovic achieved power gains of 12.1bhp at 2,400rpm and torque increases of 35.4Nm at 2,400rpm. These values were obtained on the Akrapovic dyno with a BMW X5M with a standard M Sport exhaust system. There is also the possibility of further fine-tuning of the system through the addition of the optional Evolution (Titanium) link pipe set; using the tailpipe set will change gas flow and provide the best possible sound to the Slip-On (Titanium) exhaust. As a further improvement, Akrapovic created optional parts to change the car's cosmetic appearance; with a handmade carbon fiber diffuser, you can add a special touch to the visual experience. With the installation of the Evolution connecting pipe set, the ECE homologation is no longer valid and ECU remapping is mandatory. With the installation of the Akrapovic Sound Kit the ECE homologation is not valid. For the installation of the Slip-on system, the stock exhaust must be cut.
