Exhaust Akrapovic Slip-On BMW 8 GRAN COUPE M8 01-20

With a distinctive sound while shifting, coupled with improved power and torque, all encapsulated in an all-titanium system, the Slip-On (Titanium) offers Akrapovic expertise while meeting ECE homologation. Constructed from high-grade lightweight titanium alloys and finished with two sets of carbon fiber/titanium tailpipes, the system features intricate parts crafted at the in-house titanium foundry, including the valve housing and headers from the center muffler at the exhaust terminals. Two valves, one on each side of the muffler, tailor the gas flow to help produce the unmistakable Akrapovic sound, which is markedly different from the M8 with a stock system. The tone of the system is more evident while downshifting and accelerating, and can be further enhanced and controlled with the addition of the optional Akrapovic Sound Kit to provide greater aural enjoyment. Akrapovic achieved power gains of 14.3bhp at 5,200rpm and torque increases of 19.4Nm at 5,200rpm when dyno tested Akrapovic against a stock M Sport rig fitted to a BMW M8 Competition. There is also the possibility of further tuning through the addition of the optional Evolution (Titanium) tailpipe set; using the set of coupler tubes will change gas flow and provide the best possible sound from the Slip-On (Titanium) line. As a further improvement, Akrapovic has created optional parts to change the aesthetic appearance of the car and accompany the beautiful finish of the tailpipes. With a handmade carbon fiber diffuser and mirror caps in matte and gloss finishes, you can add a special touch to the viewing experience. With the installation of the Evolution Link pipe set, the ECE homologation for the Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system is not valid and ECU remapping is mandatory when fitted. With the installation of Akrapovic Sound Kit, the ECE approval for the Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system is invalid. For slip-on system installation, the stock exhaust system must be trimmed.
