These high performance dual flow sport catalytic converters feature a 200 cell per square inch substrate made from the highest quality materials currently available, designed to improve airflow for your vehicle and increase performance. The Twin-Flow design features a bypass that allows for increased exhaust gas flow (near a test pipe) while reducing the likelihood of CEL. That said, Capristo cannot guarantee that the CEL will not be displayed as the Ferrari 488 ECU is highly sensitive and adaptive. The main advantage of the Twin-Flow design is that the performance approaches that of the test tube while still cleaning the exhaust gases.
The cell count of a substrate Catalytic refers to the number of holes per square inch and is a direct indication of the flow capabilities of that substrate. The fewer holes the larger the hole must be to fill a square inch, a larger hole subsequently allows more exhaust gas to flow.
The valve exhaust system CAPRISTO helps torque at low rpm by providing back pressure in the exhaust and increases temperature for good operation of the catalytic converter. In the open-valve condition for high rpm, it takes full advantage of the free-flow characteristics of the CAPRISTO Twin-Flow sportcats by optimizing high-energy exhaust at the ideal temperature and backpressure to maximize performance.
We recommend that you purchase our valve exhaust system with this product and a standard remote control to operate the valves in the exhaust system.

Replacing the OEM catalytic converter may trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL).
To disable a recurring CEL you will need to tune the ECU or use the Capristo OBD wizard to digitally delete the CEL in the ECU.
