Beautifully crafted from high grade titanium, this lightweight exhaust system is finished with eye catching carbon fiber end caps and is a real sensory delight. The dump valve - with its housing cast in the in-house foundry - gives the exhaust a rich sound with an emphasis on high frequencies, especially when downshifting, all resulting in a deep tone that enhances the car's engine without any rustling or unwanted noise in the passenger compartment. A specially designed Y-configuration reduces flow noise, thus providing a loud sound and an optimal flow path. The use of lightweight materials and a different configuration reduces the overall weight of the exhaust by 9.4 kg, with a saving of 55.6% compared to the standard system. Exhaust design and construction optimize power and torque levels across the rev range, with performance increased by 3.3kW (4.5hp) at 5,350rpm and torque up to 5.9Nm at 5,300rpm. rpm These measurements were obtained on the Akrapovic dyno with a BMW M135i fitted with a standard stock exhaust. To further enhance the Slip-On (Titanium) system, an optional Evolution (Stainless) connection tube set is available. The system is ECE approved for vehicles equipped with an Otto / petrol particulate filter. The exhaust system can be retrofitted to 2020 XDrive models. To install the Slip-On system (Titanium), the stock exhaust must be cut off; please read the instructions carefully before starting the installation.
